Administration Officer

Salary: £13,241.00

North London YMCA is focused on helping disadvantaged young homeless people aged 16-35 make a successful transition to independence. We have a holistic approach to addressing young people's needs and offer integrated access to affordable accommodation, training, personal development, guidance and job search facilities. We are one of the largest providers of accommodation for this group in Haringey providing temporary housing for over 150 young people. We receive Housing Related Support funding for 55 people including 30 foyer bed spaces.

We are seeking to recruit an Administration Officer to join our busy supported housing team.

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of front line services and reporting requirements by the effective and efficient delivery of a range of administrative tasks, and supporting the Management Team in the smooth running of all resident services at NLYMCA. Typical tasks will include compiling reports as required by the Housing Director; minuting of meetings, as requested, and creating action lists and tracking systems for those action lists; setting up and maintaining admin systems for the team to use; undertaking the collection of data from internal systems in a timely and systematic way; contributing to improving systems in ways which support the efficient delivery of services and regulatory or contractual requirements; supporting and informing Managers regarding the use of existing systems; sending ‘alerts’ to the Management Team regarding any issues related to the quality and/or timeliness of data from their area; providing admin reports to the Housing Director as required; setting up meetings and arranging room bookings; typing and formatting documents; responsibility for petty cash; occasionally covering Reception as and when needed; collecting relevant contract performance information and preparing it for submission and contributing to the continual improvement of th organisation’s administrative functions.

Resettlement Worker

Contract: Permanent, (full-time 35 hours) Shift Working (covering weekends)

We follow an asset based approach to our work with young people. We are one of the largest providers of accommodation for this group in Haringey providing temporary housing for over 150 young people. We receive Housing Related Support funding for 55 people including 30 foyer bedspaces.

We are seeking to recruit a Resettlement Worker to join our busy supported housing team.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the delivery of resettlement support to YMCA North London residents. Experience of delivering housing support or a similar context is essential. Duties will include acting as Key Worker for a case load of residents ready for settlement support, undertaking risk assessments, liaising with the Supported Housing Officer and Talent teams regarding Move-On, attend resident engagement meetings, liaising with external agencies and landlords and research pathways into new Move-On housing options. Candidates will need to have a good working knowledge of the Supporting People framework, Housing Tenancy law and the Welfare Benefits system.
